Teaching the Alphabet by Rebecca Brower (South Korea ETA)
Elementary students can learn the alphabet using an ABC Food Train song on Youtube! Teaching the alphabet can be hard, and it is often overwhelming to figure out where to start.
First, you can hand out the alphabet charts to the students and have them tape them into their textbooks or notebooks. After that, you can use the youtube ABC video. You can start out by playing the ABC song a couple of times, then break up the alphabet by a few letters at a time.
Have the students use the alphabet practice worksheets to practice writing the letters each day in class, and go around and quiz the students on the letter names and sounds. It may be easier to begin by teaching capitals first, and move onto lowercase as you move onto the phonics with the food train song.
You can hand out more writing worksheets for homework, and also complete the alphabet train worksheet with missing letters in class, or assign it for homework as well!
For review and practice, you can also use the alphabet PPT to teach the students the alphabet letters (which also match the alphabet train song/chart).
