Shark Week and Shark Attack by Maddie Hawk (South Korea ETA)
July is an important month for Americans. Yes, 200+ years ago our Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence, breaking free from the clutches of colonialism and setting the foundations for our country to become what it is today… that’s cool and all. But what more of us are likely excited about is the approach of Shark Week.
That’s right; Shark Week 2017 is set to start on July 23rd, and South Korea ETA Maddie Hawk has designed a lesson to teach students about this significant American cultural event. Students are introduced to the concept of shark week, learn about different species of sharks, and participate in a role-play shark attack survival game.
