Lesson of the Week: Fun with Puns

Fun with Puns by Regina Stroncek (Brazil ETA)

April Fool’s Day may be over, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t still joke around with your students!

Our newest Lesson of the Week, “Fun with Puns” by Brazil ETA Regina Stroncek (originally posted on the Latin America Teaching Collab site) helps students to recognize homophones and the double meanings of different words through humor. After being introduced to different types of puns, students have the opportunity to create their own jokes through a provided or self-generated list of words that sound the same or have dual meanings.

You can download the presentation file for this lesson here.

Have a pun-tastic week!
