Food & Culture by Jordan Sims (Czech Republic ETA)
It’s now November, which means Thanksgiving—every American’s favorite excuse to shamelessly stuff their faces—is right around the corner. So what better way is there to kick off this month than with a lesson centered around food?
This lesson by secondary Czech Republic ETA Jordan Sims is based around videos and discussion questions designed to make students consider and express their thoughts on the links between food and culture, as well as negative effects of food-culture connections, such as obesity. The presentation file for this lesson can be downloaded here.
Make sure to check back in over the next couple of weeks as we feature ETA-designed Thanksgiving lessons!
