April Fool’s Day Lesson by Preston Nanney (South Korea 2014) and various other websites!
Start off April 1st with an April Fool’s Day lesson! This lesson of the week is a lot more free form, and will contain lesson and activity materials, resources, and ideas. It’s not a formal lesson that you can download, but instead, contains a multitude of resources for you to tailor for your own lesson ^^ Therefore, this lesson is suitable for all ages!
I’m going to be listing mainly website resources, so credit goes to those sites. But for a fun vocabulary/new classroom rules prank, you can use ETA Preston Nanney’s New Class Rules PPT.
Start off your class with a teacher prank (fora list of great teacher prank ideas HERE!) You can give students a really difficult test, or even create some new and ridiculous English classroom rules or grading/homework assignments. The possibilities are endless. After you reveal the joke…you can show your students a really funny classroom prank.
You can then teach your students some fun facts and background about April fools day (check some fun facts out HERE).
And for some fun activities afterwards, you can find alot of print outs and activities:
